MOUNTAIN SHADOWS PHOENIX RESORT REVIEW

A wonderful hotel is a part of the joy of visiting a new (or well-known) city. Central Arizona and the Phoenix area are known for their luxurious resorts, complete with spas and golf courses. My most recent trip to Phoenix included a stay at Mountain Shadows outside of Scottsdale. This beautiful resort is located near Phoenix, Arizona, and offers a wide array of amenities and services.

ABOUT MOUNTAIN SHADOWS

Camelback Mountain and Mummy Mountain are perfectly visible from the grounds of Mountain Shadows, a boutique resort in Paradise Valley. The 1959 opening gave the hotel its name because of its geographic location. It has served as a tourist attraction for Hollywood celebrities, international travelers, and families who enjoy the sun in Arizona for many years. Despite having many different owners, the resort's name remained unchanged, even after it was closed in 2004 and rebuilt in 2017.

There is still a sense of the property's history as you look around it, even though it was completely reconstructed, reopened, and reopened in 2017. Mountain Shadow's long history and the beautiful landscape that it is situated in are considered when designing the resort, including its retro-inspired architecture and breeze blocks by the pool.

During our girls trip to Phoenix, Mountain Shadows was the perfect place to stay since it is an iconic and beloved destination for travelers to Phoenix.

LOCATION

Mountain Shadows is located in Paradise Valley, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona, near Scottsdale. Luxury resorts like Mountain Shadows are part of the region's upscale lifestyle, which includes luxury golf courses, shopping and dining. This is the wealthiest municipality in Arizona as well as one of the most popular tourist destinations. Although Mountain Shadows is not directly in Phoenix, it is less than a 30-minute drive from Downtown Phoenix, making it your ideal home base for exploring Arizona. Also, Phoenix airport is just a short drive from the hotel!

AMENITIES AT MOUNTAIN SHADOWS RESORT

You will find all the amenities of a luxury resort at Mountain Shadows, including pools, a fitness center, golf courses, and on-property dining.

Swim + Fitness

A group of fitness and swimming facilities at Mountain Shadows is known as The Citizens Club, named after The Citizens Committee that gathered in 1961 to found Paradise Valley with the aim of creating a community with an incredible quality of life. Guests of Mountain Shadows Resort Scottsdale can take part in a wide range of activities, including a fitness center of over 4,000 square feet with Pilates, traditional yoga, and aerial yoga.

Golfing

Mountain Shadows' Short Course has been named one of the best par-3 courses in America by Golf.com, and it's an 18-hole course fit for both beginners and professionals. Enjoy the beautiful views while practicing your swing while set in the rugged Sonoran Desert. When you aren't up to playing an 18-hole round, you can use the resort fee to access the putting green.

Dining

Restaurant Hearth 61 serves modern American cuisine prepared by renowned chef Charles Wiley at Mountain Shadows resort. There are delicious flavor pairings found in the dishes at Hearth 61, which are ingredient-driven. Hearth 61's open-layout restaurant and bar is perfect for dinner or drinks, and if you're an interior design lover like me, you'll love to hear that Architectural Digest named it one of the most beautiful bars in the state. In fact, you can see the mountains far away from the building when you step inside.

The Short Course at Mountain Shadows also has Rusty's golf grill. There's nothing better than watching a few holes and sipping a few beers at a grill.

Spa Services

Mountain Shadows Resort Scottsdale offers massage services in your room if you want to treat yourself during your vacation. Are you looking for an even more immersive spa experience? Guests of Mountain Shadows can arrange a spa day at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain in Phoenix Resort & Spa with the help of the Mountain Shadows concierge.

In Phoenix and Scottsdale, Mountain Shadows Resort is a top destination no matter what your travel style may be. This resort is truly one of a kind, with its beautifully designed interiors, sweeping desert views, and incredible amenities.
